Bulk Selection & Zip/Unzip

Efficiently manage multiple files: select batches, compress to ZIP, extract archives, and apply operations recursively.

1.Select Multiple Files and Folders

Choose multiple items for batch operations.

  1. Click checkbox in table header to select all visible items
  2. Click individual row checkboxes to select specific items
  3. Selected count shown in toolbar
  4. Selection persists while navigating directories
  5. Click header checkbox again to deselect all

2.Compress Selections to ZIP

Create a ZIP archive from selected files and folders.

  1. Select one or more files/folders using checkboxes
  2. Click Zip (N) button in toolbar
  3. Modal opens with suggested archive name
  4. Edit output path if needed
  5. Click Compress — archive created in current directory

3.Extract ZIP Archives

Unzip archives directly in the file manager.

  1. Navigate to directory containing the ZIP file
  2. ZIP files show Unzip button (package icon)
  3. Click Unzip — modal opens with current directory as default
  4. Optionally enable Overwrite existing files
  5. Click Extract — contents extracted to target directory

4.Apply Operations Recursively

Apply actions to all files within selected directories.

  1. When zipping a folder, all contents included automatically
  2. When unzipping, enable Overwrite to replace existing
  3. Permissions changes can be applied recursively
  4. Recursive operations show confirmation with item count
